SRSC Participates in Women in International Aviation Day at PNU

Saudi Rotorcraft Support Company was delighted to support the International Civil Aviation Day: Women in Aviation event at Princess Nourah University, the largest university for women in the world.

International Civil Aviation Day was established in 1994 as part of ICAO’s 50th anniversary activities. In 1996, pursuant to an ICAO initiative and with the assistance of the Canadian Government, the United Nations General Assembly officially recognized 7 December as International Civil Aviation Day in the UN system.

The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to help generate and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of International Civil Aviation.

Dublin City University in association with Dublin Airport Authority International (DAAI) and Princess Nourah University hosted the Women in Aviation following the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day.

The event aimed to introduce and educate PNU students about the aviation industry and the career opportunities that are available now and in the future.

SRSC employees Areen AlHarbi (Finance) and Fai Almefgaei (HR) were invited at the event. Fai took the stage and introduced the audience to the SRSC.  Areen shared her experience as a recent DCU graduate working in the aviation industry with the SRSC.

Saudi Rotorcraft Support Company participated in the event alongside GACA, Flynas, Flyadeal, and DAAI and was particularly pleased to see over 100 students and fellow industry partners discussing this important initiative.
